The first hole at Applebrook is a middle-length par five that rolls gently down to the green. The tee shot is challenged by the topography only as the golfer will have free reign to position themselves for their second shot. Plenty of opportunity lies ahead for the golfer’s second shot. The closer to the green one wishes to play, the more the approach is guarded by bunkers on the left and water on the right. If the player chooses to lay-up, then a dramatic green site awaits a short iron third shot. A beautiful view once reached, the green is perched on a ledge some twenty feet above the water to the right.
